The Parent Teacher Association called their first meeting this school year Friday afternoon, November 26, 1919 (1918) to organize and elect new officers.  The following officers were elected.  President-Mrs. William Philhower, Vice Pres-Mrs. C.    Mrs. Haver of Flemington, our county helping teacher, gave us a few ideas, as what we can do to be the most helpful and beneficial to the school and community.  She suggested a means by which the school grounds could be graded  and walks layed leading to the school. She also helped to make clear the aim and purpose of the association.
Mrs. Doran was present at this meeting. She offered her services in any way that she might be of help and benefit to the school.  She also  tried to make us see and feel the value of music in the school & home.  Mrs. Doran is a woman who has traveled some and offered to give a talk on the visited countries, home life and arts produced.  Mrs. Doran offered the association her piano at a very reasonable price.
It was moved and carried that the Asso. buy one (1) 300 candle porecre (sp ?)lantern for the school.  Also, music books.
